HEADLINER: DAVE WILLIAMSON

Dave Williamson comes from a family of automobile dealers.
In order to get noticed in this loud family living in fast-paced Miami,
Dave relied on humor as he recited his favorite commercials and
SNL sketches as a kid. Shortly after graduating from Auburn
University, Dave’s affinity for characters and experience in
freelance journalism led him to performing sketch comedy.
Craving as much stage as possible, he soon branched out into
Stand Up, and fell in love with it. His humor centralizes mostly
around the hijinx of his childhood, his colorful college experience
and his continuing journey into young adulthood as a husband
and a father. Earning college degrees in Business and Creative
Writing was an unknowing glimpse into the future of how he’d
balance working for his family’s business while nurturing his
passion for comedy. Luckily, comedy found a way and
Dave is now carving out a promising comedy career full time.

Drawing from these experiences has allowed him to quickly excel
in many local showcases such as ones for The Lucky 21 Las
Vegas Comedy Festival, the Carnival Cruise Line Challenge,
and the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. He was a Top 5
finalist in the 105.9 “Paul and Young Ron” So You Think You’re
Funny Comedy Contest. He performed at the 2010 Laugh
Detroit Comedy Festival and the South Beach Comedy Festival
in 2008 & 2010. He has opened for such comedians as
Jimmy Fallon, Jim Gaffigan (5,000 seat venue), Gilbert
Gottfried, Richard Lewis, Dom Irrera, Christopher Titus,
Joel McHale, and Bill Bellamy. He has performed at The
Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, several of the IMPROV
Comedy Clubs, as well as theatres and college campuses
around the nation. The past few years he has developed
a very energetic and self-deprecating style of presenting
his view of the world which connects with both younger
hip and older nostalgic audiences. His topics are often
edgy, but in good taste. Dave proudly offers up jokes with
rust-proofing and 0% financing. Floor mats are extra.
